Due to its very nature and large number of aspiring and unsuspecting young females with modeling dreams, the modeling industry is perhaps the biggest victim of scams and even worse — intolerable approaches by sexual predators, pedophiles and other criminals. No website can offer a 100% guarantee, but Solomodels goes as far as possible to ensure a safe environment.
Here are just some of the things we do:
- We review each and every portfolio and photo and reject photos containing inappropriate content (nudity, pornographic, sexual, etc.) that seem to attract the predators to begin with.
- We randomly monitor messages, journal postings and other listings and promptly remove anyone who uses our system for anything other than its intended purpose.
- We respond to any member complaints immediately and take the appropriate actions necessary to prevent inappropriate use of solomodels.

Flash Creatives provide an alternate and dynamic view of your digital portfolio. They are based on Macromedia Flash MX and provide some of the most dynamic stylish sites anywhere.
Prefer to have Solomodels provide the hosting under your own domain name? No problem, you can either point your existing DNS server (CNAME entry) to to www.solomodels.com or enter a small snippet for HTML code to redirect users to your creative. In both cases, using our unique domain masking feature, visitors don't see the underlying address; only the domain name they type in the URL field (ex. www.yourname.com).
When we the hosting, your creative is always up-to-date, since its served in realtime from our servers.
Please note that the flash creatives are an add-on option to your subscription and must be purchased separately.

Photo critiques allow members to submit their photos for comments and critiques from other members. They are perfect way to get expert advice and opinions from your fellow models and colleagues.

In addition to the public photos that you can upload, you can also create private photo galleries which can be viewed by only the members you wish to grant viewing permissions. You can even create private viewing links you can email to others so they can view your galleries directly.
Private photo galleries are an excellent way to share your private photos with only the members that you want, and with a limit of up to 10,000 photos with a titanium membership, there is practically no limit to how many photos you can include.
Your private galleries can be shared on permission granted basis with other Solomodels members or guest visitors through Private Access Links that you can create. You can even generate entire sites from your private galleries to take with you, just like the creatives.

It's easy with Solomodels, just have the model designate you as their manager! You can then access their account directly from your own and do everything they could do from their own accounts.
There is even a page that shows you all the models you are managing along with important details about their individual accounts, such as the number of new messages they may have received.

You can update your own profile at anytime and even include a free voicemail number for others to contact you. To ensure against inappropriate content, all profile updates are reviewed.
Too busy to take an anymore work? Or just taking a break from modeling? No need to delete your portfolio, just hide it until you are ready for more work.

You can have up to 300 photos in your portfolio with our titanium membership! No need to worry about the filesize either, our system automatically resizes and optimizes your photo once you upload them.
Every photo you upload is reviewed by real person. Once they are approved, they will be marked as approved and will automatically appear in your online portfolio.
This is done for your protection — to keep out the occasional person who tries to abuse our system and damage our reputation by uploading inappropriate photos. It also keeps our standards high since we also reject low quality photos (such as webcam and mobile phone photos).
Like other sites, you can also link your photos to other members. For example, a model can link her photo to the photographer member who took the photo.
Solomodels takes this linking concept one level further — our system also allows you to share this photo with another member. Sharing photos is like linking, but instead of just a link next the photo, it shows the actual photo in both your portfolio and the other member's portfolio under the shared photo section.
It's a great way for members to automatically add photos to each other's portfolios without having to upload them twice.
Of course, you have full control of the sharing process, and all shared photos must first be approved by you, so no one can just add a photo to your portfolio without your approval. We even show you who has linked or shared photos to you and let you unlink or unshare photos as needed.

Of course like the photos, we also review all uploaded videos to make sure they do not contain inappropriate content.

Many agents require a downloadable version of your online portfolio that they can refer to offline or even print.
